Much like Freiburg, the city of Graz is known for being a university town packed with students, and thus the site of many festivals, parties, and other youth-targeted events. When I visited my friends there in 2010, all I met were students, students and more students. It reminded me a lot of Salzburg in that way. It even looks a lot like Salzburg to me, too.
I’ve always thought of Graz as a tiny little village of a town, but it’s actually larger than Salzburg (and the second-largest city in Austria!). It has that small-town feel, though, which I really like.
Kaitlyn and I took the train over from Germany, and I’m glad we did, for it was in Graz where I consumed the best ice cream of my life (and I’ve eaten a lot of ice cream in my life). Just look at it! She chose chocolate; I went with my usual flavor of choice – strawberry, with extra strawberries.
Our trip there was pretty low-key and uneventful (save the glorious afternoon with the ice cream goblets), but it was quickly followed by a very eventful trip to Salzburg… so get ready for that. Details/photos forthcoming.
So fun! Gosh, the buildings are so gorgeous!
Jesus christ, this is gorgeous! I didn't know that it was bigger than Salzburg but it looks amazing!

2 questions:
1) Where are those sunglasses from?
2) What's your instagram??
I got the sunglasses from either UO or H&M, but lost them shortly after Graz, I think!
And I have my instagram on private. No fun!
