I've been wanting to go to Bamberg for awhile now (my friend Zach, from Texas! lives there) but haven't had the time. It's just a 20 minute train ride away from Erlangen, though, so I booked a "Bamberg day" with Zach and added it to Kayla's and my itinerary for the weekend. We were both so pleasantly surprised - this city is amazing! I can't wait to go back.
Kayla and I both noticed that we were reminded of several other cities while strolling through Bamberg. At times I felt like I was in London, other times we were saying, "Are we in Prague?". I was also reminded of Budapest a time or two...Zach eventually told us Bamberg is referred to as "little Venice"...go figure. Anyway, we didn't spend enough time there and, like I said, I can't wait to go back.
