2 things for the 2nd.

Monday, May 2, 2011

1. The other day, I took off my hoodie and my arms hit the ceiling. I know I blame a lot of things on my dad, but....I don't really see how this one can be blamed on anyone else, since he is over 6' tall....and my mom's...not.

2. Once upon a time (2008, I do believe), I accidentally cut my bangs myself and they ended up covering only half my forehead. Wanna see?

If that's not a deep and meaningful blog post for you, I don't know what is.

Oh, and I commented on facebook today that being in Bavaria on May 2, 2011 is like living in the Muggle world the day after Harry defeated Lord Voldemort.  It’s a very strange feeling.
Other facebook statuses of note:
    • 1.  Osama Bin Laden 2.  Waldo 3. Carmen Sandiego
    • And that’s how the USA outdoes the Royal Wedding.
    • I guess he wasn’t kidding when he said he had more important things to do than look for his birth certificate?

Those statuses crack me up. I'm glad people can create something clever and funny from all this!

Sending American vibes to Bavaria for you.

Haha! I love this entire post.

The statuses are funny. Yours was excellent and I'm living in London and I wanted to be in NYC with everyone else...but, it's okay. :)

I bet it's weird being outside the US for this. I read a book a few years ago about a family relocating from South Carolina to a small city in France, and I got so emotional reading her description of being in France on 9/11. Her description of being far from home, and of her new French friends reactions and compassion was so moving. I dont like the idea of celebrating death, but I like the hope this news brings for peace in the future!

yeah...part of me is totally fine being away because the idea of death celebrations in the streets is a little scary to me.

I still love your status, but #1 is pretty hilarious, as well. Also! I took that picture! And I can see that entire evening in pictures running through my brain now. Weren't we going to see Across the Universe?

hahaha I love those statuses. oh and somehow your bangs still look cute even if they are only 1/2 covering your forehead. :)

I agree - being the only American in my town was weird today!! Very weird! All my friends were sending me pictures from DC.

You must have been in a room with a low ceiling!! BTW - Daddy is 6'2", not 6'5"!!!

I laughed out loud. At the low ceilings, your obviously awesome bangs from back when, the royal wedding being outdone.. and most importantly.. your HP reference.

It's like the blog-iverse knew we'd be friends.

Standing at a measly 5'2, I envy your height. I cant touch the ceiling without a running start.

Like I said on facebook, I thought the announcement they were going to make was that Sasha and Malia were performing I Whip My Hair with Willow Smith... And about the bangs, I thought you said "halfway down my face", so this is actually very Audrey compared to what I was imagining... Oh, and i think youre the only one who still reads my blog.

Hah, exactly! Much more important things to do than the birth certificate issue. DId you happen to catch any of the white house correspondents dinner speech? He burned Trump over and over and Trump was NOT laughing. Burning Trump, Catching OBL AND interrupting celebrity Apprentice while doing so = one bad ass weekend.
