Dresden doesn’t mess around when it comes to Christmas. Their Christmas market is world renowned. And the holiday decor hits the storefronts months in advance.
I snapped this photo walking home one night. I usually stick to the “no Christmas movies/music/countdowns ‘til after Thanksgiving” rule. But it’s hard to mind these charming window displays full of pretty candle carousels.
P.S. Every time I see a candle carousel, I can’t help but think of this movie. It makes me so excited to have a Christmas movie marathon (after Thanksgiving, of course).
Christmastime is the best :)
Christmas movie marathon is so right up my alley. I am usually holding myself back from Christmas stuff till 1.Advent. But I got to admit, that I might have listened to Michael Bublé's Christmas album a couple times. =)
@eeny, i listened to that today (!) so clearly, i'm not opposed to bending that rule either.
I wish I could go there! But for now I'll have to stick with the Christkindl market here in Chicago and stuff my face with Milka chocolate. When I was little, we lived in Latvia, so Christmas has always been synonymous with big holiday markets. Feel free to post more photos so i can drool over my keyboard/live vicariously.
I am a Christmas lover...the music can play in the middle of July if you ask me :) Those windows are gorg..I love that it actually looks like Christmas there..it's still like 85 and sunny here..
Germany does Christmas best.

Wow, I'd love to see Christmas there!! It's one of my favorite times of year!!
it looks beautiful. i used to go to this german market at christmastime in the uk and it was lovely, too. so i can only imagine what it must be like there. xx
Candle carousels are my favorite! Takes me back to my childhood:-) We always had ours spinning 'round and 'round! xoxo
best.movie.ever! and I can't wait until after Thanksgiving to start the holiday festivities! I am so excited :)
that window display is epic! Christmas markets are one of the best parts about moving across the pond, in my opinion. I cannot wait for the season's official kickoff (which I agree wholeheartedly is post-Turkey Day).
I'm dying to go to a real Christmas market. The last one I went to was in Stockholm when I was 10...sooo I'm long over due for another one!
Soo pretty! Christmas movie marathons are the best!
@bon bon, did yours every catch on fire? ours did last year!
