have you ever been to a midnight bridal shower? i have! due to a rehearsal dinner that accidentally ran late, we started jenny’s bridal shower a little (read: a lot) later than planned. it took place at the home of julie (jenny’s sister and my former roommate), seen below.

i got to meet alice (julie’s 7-week-old baby) for the first time!

julie found time in between fulfilling her matron-of-honor duties and caring for her newborn child to bake the best cookies ever, the majority of which were consumed by yours truly.

we ended the night with jenny opening gifts (our consensus being that uo and anthro have the best lingerie ever, no surprises there) and little alice even woke up to watch!

bridal showers are fun!
the end.
I need some of my close friends to get married just so I can attend bridal events.
Oh my goodness that must have been so fun to have it at midnight!! :D
I've only been to a bridal shower once. I hope my next friend who gets married decides to have a midnight bridal shower, that should be fun. =)
a midnight bridal shower?! that is so genius! i love it!
I look sooo tired. Wow. It WAS a fun shower, though.
Midnight bridal shower? That's awesome. I like how you all do things.
ohhh a midnight bridal shower sounds like my sort of thing.
Fun! Looks like you ladies had a great night :)
midnight bridal shower! adding the word midnight just really makes it sound exciting. even if you didn't exactly mean for it to be a midnight bridal shower.
anthro. always.
Yes the bride is beautiful but you too are simply stunning!
thanks for the uo and anthro tip. i'll make sure to go there from now on.
and can i just say daaaaaang girl! you look amazing in that picture. the bangs, the eyeliner, the lipstick. it all works. it always works.
Wow, pictures sure can make things look so under control and laid back. I hope it FELT that way, too! Baby Alice was so brave that night.
