When Jenny decided to come to London, I knew 2 things: (1) I had to take her to Notting Hill (Portabello Market) and (2) while in Notting Hill, I had to take her to Falafel King.
I first visited Notting Hill during the summer of 2008, but it wasn't until my second trip there, in February 2009, that I first experienced the magic of Falafel King. I was there with my friend Sandy, and as we ate, she said to me, "I'm sorry but I'm going to need you to stop talking so I can just think about this falafel and how good it is." I knew exactly what she meant, too. It's just that good.
Jenny joked that I know the coordinates of every falafel restaurant in Europe and the more I think about it, the more I realize she might be right...
If you go to Falafel King, you must get the falafel pita with the fresh mint lemonade.
It is so, so, so, so, so, so good.
