jackiek said...: love the FAQ page. In regards to Turkey.... go! I went last year. I know it's not the most common place to vacation, but I {like you} love learning about different cultures. It was one of the most fascinating trips I have ever taken! I highly recommend it. Yes, the falafels are wonderful. Although I still favor the single falafel stand I went to regularly while in Paris. You are 100% right when you said that studying-abroad should be a requirement for US students! I wish that I had/ or could. =)

My husband and I are planning a trip to Germany in 2012, if you are still in Bavaria, I would love to meet you. I would promise to bring lots of fattening/sugary american food in exchange for some travel tips. :)
