here are some things i’m thankful for! maybe i’ll stop feeling sorry for myself if i think about these:
+surgery went well/no amputations necessary
+not eating for a week means my first meal is going to be really special (same goes for showering)
+i have really selfless friends who travel long distances every day to see me and bring me presents
+after getting blood drawn every morning and shots in my stomach every afternoon, i've almost conquered my fear of needles!
+finally found a food i cam keep down without vomiting (snickers!!!!)
+i've learned a lot of new german words
all this because a tiny little cyst exploded inside my hand, wreaking havoc/infection on my body……stupid, huh? real stupid, if you ask me.

wow...i hope you are feeling better soon! I also spent a (sad, pathetic) chunk of time in a hospital in Germany (really really bad mono...go figure) and it is *definitely* a good way to add to your body/medical vocabulary. I'll share if you will!

Oh my goodness! Thinking about you, and hoping you will get all better soon. I did a stint in a German hospital about a year and half ago. Best thing I could have to done to really improve my German :) lol. But all kidding aside, hope you are feeling ok and out of there in no time!

I'm sure your family are wishing they were there with you just as much as you do. <3 This is one of those not-at-all-fun times of being an adult... I got so sick myself last year, and when I was coherent, all I wanted was my far-away mum!

oh girl, i've missed out on so much! i'm terribly sorry to hear about this awful happenstance and sure hope you have mended completely from the trauma. geesh, you just never know hey? even the seemingly little things like a cyst can really do a bust up on your insides. what a thing to happen, many blessings! ♥
