him: i told every one in my family that you couldn't understand half of the king's speech.
me: that is true. sometimes the british accent is really hard for me to understand.
him: i told them that you had to ask me, the non-native english speaker, to translate what they were saying into american english!
me: and did you tell them why you were able to do that so easily?
him: yeah, that i used to live in london, and that the accent isn't hard for me to understand.
me: so your understanding of the dialogue had nothing to do with there being polish subtitles on the screen?
him: well....probably, but i didn't mention that part when i told my family about it.
[watching the office, jim comes on screen]
him: i'm so annoyed with my cousin.
him: you didn't tell me ashton kutcher was on this show!
[watching the notebook, ali's dad comes on screen]
him: heeeey, alec baldwin!

me: the one in new york?
him: yes. she won't email me back. i emailed her last week and usually she writes back right away. it's been 7 days.
me: maybe she's traveling?
him: no, she can't be traveling! she had a baby 5 days ago!
me: ...and you didn't think that could have something to do with her lack of response?
him: no! if anything, she should be replying faster, she's just sitting at home with a baby, probably bored.
me: ...you have so much to learn.
him: i was so afraid i would cry in the notebook. i kinda can't believe i didn't.
me: really? i've never seen you cry in a movie.
him: well, you weren't here when i was watching the michelle obama documentary. that was really emotional.
me: really? you cried during a michelle obama documentary?
him: no, but i wet my eyes.

ANYONE ELSE WITH ME???
I love the cousin one! You're conversations always make me laugh :D
These are seriously so funny. You should write a book or something
im so laughing at the comment about "the kings speech". i seriously can NOT understand a british accent either first of all...it's worse than an accent from louisiana for me. and why is it that i feel like i know piotr?! LOL...these conversations kill me (and sadly, are part of what i endure in everyday life with my boyfriend too).
bahahaha these are seriously my favorite things ever :)
i feel like on every single one of your "conversations with a polish boy" posts i say the same thing. sorry if it gets old, but i can't help it. it never ceases to amazing me how they keep getting better. i agree with harley, please write a book.
We really are going to be great friends. Also, I too find myself tearing up a little when I hear about Michelle Obama...(and tearing up a lot when I hear about Kate middleton, but that is totally normal)
