walking around berlin with caroline, i had the (very delayed) realization that it really is so different from bavaria. i say this about so many cities i visit but, "i could really live here one day."

row 1: berlin is one europe’s hot spots for dunkin donuts. need i even express how many times caroline and i took “donut breaks” while walking around the city? i feel like that’s just a given. you walk a mile, you get a donut. you see a sight, you get a donut. you wake up, you get a donut. it’s a pretty nice reward system, really.
row 2: berlin was caroline’s last big hurrah before heading back to america. we’d both been there before so we didn’t have much to see and do but enjoy the city and each other’s company. that was nice and relaxing.
row 3: i’m constantly on the lookout for real cookies when i’m out and about, traveling. so far, the best cities for real cookies = berlin and london. so naturally, while waiting for caroline’s train (very sadly waiting, might i add), we indulged in some of berlin’s finest american cookies. at least that part of the goodbye wasn’t sad. come back soon, caroline! i miss you already.
I could live in Berlin too, I love it there.
You should come to Cologne. It is awesome. :)
if you are still in berlin go here. and drink a mint julep for me. http://www.juleps-berlin.de/

How could anyone live without real deal cookies?? How horrible! I'm officially craving cookies now.. along with donuts... I always seem to leave your blog feeling hungry! lol... The other day you mentioned blueberry muffins and my mouth watered..now this! =)
I should move over there and open a 'cookie shop'!! That would be fun!!
I think that is a good reward system. I am going to try it :)
ahem... I seem to remember some other very awesome people being in Berlin that time too! ;) also, should I bring you back a cookie?
I visited Berlin for the first time last weekend, and it was raining non-stop... I hope the weather's cleared up by now!
KaDeWe had a lot of American foodstuff too btw, I was tempted to buy a tub op marshmellow fluff just to find out what it was.
Ah berlin, I'm all kinds of jealous! Can't wait to make my way to Europe, but for now Asia is okay ;) xx I found a lovely restaurant here on the Gilis that does mousse to die for... ahh chocolate.
my friends are in berlin, i always went! we just keep missin eachother, i swear :)
I need to go to Berlin. I will never forget that cookie shop in King's Cross. Wait...not King's Cross. Where was it??
St. Pancras. Wow. That was bothering me.
My awesome 1st cousin (who's just finished her doctorate in forensic psychology) is due in Berlin in a few weeks for a psych conference...
In the meantime, she's partying it up in Serbia (Novi Sad) at the Exit Festival (we're both Serbian, originally from the Fmr Yugoslavia), was in Barcelona and Rome before that, will be going to London to see my brother, the Netherlands...
I am uber jealous, as you can imagine, but happy for her first and foremost, heh heh.
You two could be sisters! A donut reward system would get me to do just about anything probably. Do they have the cream filled kind? I am such a sucker for those...
Aw! All of these pictures are so cute. It looks like you guys always have such a fun time together! I love your red shades. :)

Dear Berlin,
We've never met.
But I think we'd like each other from the start.
Your name starts with B.
And mine with C.
Sincerely,
Christine
I like your donut reward system. I feel like the world would be a better place if all things were rewarded with fresh donuts!
a world with no cookies.. is no world at all. no no.
I have visited Germany a year ago. I was not able to visit all famous places but whatever I visited were awesome.
