what happens after the hospital…

makes you wish you’d never left the hospital (and that’s saying something).

PRAISE GOD i got through the mound of doctor’s bills and insurance paperwork…and actually got reimbursed.

only took me hours of form-filling-out, dozens of german-language-induced headaches and 6 weeks of waiting!

seeing that money in my bank account was one of the best feelings i’ve had in a long, long time.

remind me again - why do i have to be an adult…?  childhood was so much easier….

but, on the upside, adulthood comes with its own perks.  like europe (which was not available to me as a child).

I am so happy you're okay after all of this. What a scary thing to go through! NEXT TIME (God forbid there is a next time), go to the hospital sooner! I mean it!
Okay, I'll get off my mama-esque scolding soapbox now.
But for serious, glad you're healthy :)

I can't wait until insurance pays me out for my doctor's/damaged back. If it wasn't bad enough being mugged in a foreign country, my bank balance was severely depleted, too. Which means my holiday cannot be as holidayificate as formally planned. Oh well! It could be worse.

I can't believe your hand story though, sounds crazy.

I hope it helps, when I tell you, that even most Germany don't understand these forms. It's kind of a trick!!

Dude, I sooo hear you on the childhood easier thing...back when our biggest "problems" were homework, unrequited crushes and...well, yeah, that's it. Hee!

Once again, thank God it all worked out for you health-wise and that the paperwork was a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things.

(Also, in the earlier post's comment, I neglected to add that I LOVE The Santa Clause. Yes, still. Gah! What can I say, I'm a big kid at heart!)

Health/doctor related paperwork might be the scariest/worst thing in the world. I am proud of you for getting through all of it. And I am glad your hand is better.

Congrats on being reimbursed. What a hassle and a gamble.

I found your blog through Megan at A Suitcase and Stilettos. I LOVE your blog and we have quite a few things in common.

I'm living in Germany for 6 months and have been to Munich, Dinkelsbuhl and Austria too. It's fun to read about your adventures and relate to your postings.

Stop by and say hi sometime
Michelle ;)
