heather: do you wanna go to france tomorrow?…. just another reason why i love living in europe (and why i love having such nice friends).
me: sure.
heather: okay, we’ll go to france tomorrow.

strasbourg is only a couple hours’ drive away from stuttgart so spending the day there worked out quite nicely. i thought that strasbourg, being on the border of germany, would look and feel somewhat like a german town. i was shocked by how definitively french it is! i swear that even as we crossed the border, the air began to smell different…..
can you believe i didn’t eat a single croissant the whole day?!
….now i have a reason to go back.
Sooooooooo good!
I WANNA! Heh heh.
Yes, I would totally do that if I were still living in Europe. "Hey, let's go to ________."
Ahhhhh...!
I wish I could have a conversation like that!
I love all those colorful buildings, too.
wow, those pictures are so beautiful! I feel so deprived next to you cause I've only been to Paris in France haha...I'm so jealous of all you guys in Europe that just get to travel to a different country whenever you feel like it!
BEAUTIFUL photos!!!!! I wish I could just hop on over to another country! :)
I hope you bought that blue vase on the back of that table. Strasbourg looks beautiful. I am adding it to our itin when we take our second three-week trip together. Also, do I have that hoodie?
Okay now I need to know how your hair looks like that. And please don't say "it's natural" or I'll scream
Jealousy galore. I wish I could just say "hmmm I think I'll go to France today." Instead it's more like "hmmm I guess I could go to Louisiana today and gamble on Lake Charles." No. Just, no.
ah wow, awesome pictures :) ....makes me want to go back to europe so badly!!
@Nikki, it is natural...but (!) it usually looks like a rat's nest. this was a rare moment in which it looks halfway presentable.
It looks so beautiful there. I only dream to go to Europe one day!
In our sea of love
best part about europe hands down!
how did you not eat a croissant?!?!?! go.back.now.
yay for spontaneous friends!
it's so nice to see what strasbourg actually looks like. i almost did a study abroad for a short time there with my business school but pulled out at the last minute because my professor was a disorganized mess...looks like i should have done it anyways!!! gorgeous photos!
When I was in college I was offered an internship with the state department in Strasbourg......and my parents offered to pay for the trip if I got an A in Bio. Well, I definitely did not get an A and I definitely never went to Strasbourg. I've had an obsession about going ever since. Let's see, from where I am now (Chicago), I can either get to Indiana or Wisconsin. let's switch places, yes?
I want to go SO BADLY. These photos are stunning (as is your hair!!) :)
*sigh* that's amazing! that's why i want to live in europe someday in the future! :)
here, it'd probably be like "hey, you wanna go to vegas tomorrow?"... hahaha, sooo not the same. ;)

Haha wow you definitely don't hear a conversation like that here! Gahhh it really is nice living in Europe and being so close to everything. The photos are gorgeous! Looks like such a pretty place!
PS I like the green hoodie! Nothing wrong with the green hoodie ;o)
that's it! i'm moving to europe to live with you just so i can tag along on all your fun adventures. i promise to bring cake mixes, cereals, and any other thing you want as payment.
Can I go to France tomorrow?
Probably not.
I am jealous.
I visited Strasbourg last spring, it's one of my favourite cities! Next week I'm going to France again but only for 3 days.
Hope you have tried 'Tarte flambée' during your stay, it's delicious!
So jealous!! Wish I could travel so easily! Love your blog, going to start following :)
It looks like a German town!!! So pretty, great pictures!!
Those houses are so charming. I want.
Strasbourg looks like such a pretty town. I'd definately love to visit one day, and what better excuse is there than to sample their croissants!
What a nice little trip. How lucky to be so lucky to be so close to france! I would give anything to visit one of my friends in Berlin right now :(
i want to have that conversations! I need to move to Europe :) love your red lipstick :)
Don't you think that little turquoise house should be mine and that we should be neighbors? I do. I hope that's okay.
xo,
Sarah
I kind of hate you right now!! Just kidding. So jealous! How exciting. I'd loved to just take a day trip and hop over to France.
these pictures are ridiculous! i wanna be there like right now! can i apperate there?

xoxo jen
