Dr. Geoffrey Maddox is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of the Memory and Cognition Lab. His research investigates the mechanisms underlying episodic memory, including its interaction with attentional control, age-related differences in memory performance, and strategies to enhance long-term memory in both younger and older adults. More broadly, Dr. Maddox studies factors that support healthy aging, with a focus on maintaining cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being, enabling individuals to age successfully in the environment of their choosing.
